How can I get rid of Dark circles under my eyes?

Dark circles can come from various things….are you using an eye cream, getting enough sleep? You should always be using an eye cream on the lids and underneath the eyes. It can also be hereditary. If you are doing all of the above, try a heavier concealer and go a shade lighter than your foundation. I like Becca Concealer.

What’s the best drug store eye primer (not eye shadow) for oily eyelids?

I am so picky with eye primers. I have to be honest and tell you I have not found one that is Drugstore brand that I like. However, MAC’s eye primer is the BEST and totally worth the $16 and it does not make the eye shadow crease.

What is the best drug store eye brow pencil? For brown eyebrows?

I recommend using a brow powder instead of a pencil. Not only does it last longer, esp. in warmer climates, but I feel it looks more natural. I like Drugstore Brand Milani’s Eyebrow Powder Kit for $6.49. It comes with a little eyebrow guide for shaping and the BRUSH is a really good one.

What the best waterproof mascara to make your eyelashes look longer?

I am loyal to L’Oreal’s Voluminous Mascara in Waterproof. I use it on my brides. ALWAYS, ALWAYS curl your lashes and give them the extra lift! If you find that you like a particular style brush but don’t like the mascara. Keep the brush and buy different mascara.

I barely use drug store makeup because when i do it runs off when i get sweaty or it makes me look orange what’s the best drug store makeup product?

It is really hard to find drugstore products that work really, really well. That’s why I share with you guys on my blog and videos when I do find those rare great affordable products. Personally, I like to mix in my expensive with my affordable. When makeup is cheaper it tends to be made with more synthetic ingredients which make it harder for the skin to fully absorb…which is why it’s probably running off. Try the Maybelline Mouse foundation, and if you are still searching…go to Sephora and ask to sample some…they are great for finding the best foundation for YOU! Don’t be afraid to invest! It’s for YOU!!! It’s for your inner self to sparkle and for your outward self to look fabulous!!!!!!

What’s the best primer out there? I’m just starting to wear primer as I hear it’s well worth the investment.

Kerri, I like Primer by Smashbox. However, if you are using a good foundation…like a Makeup Forever, Stila, etc. you may only need primer for those special occasions to make the makeup last…not necessarily every day.

What is the best way to apply foundation?

Michelle, for sanitary and bacteria reasons it’s best to use a foundation brush because the makeup can be broken down by natural oils in your skin, and a sponge soaks up too much makeup. However, I like to use my hand as a palette to warm up the makeup so it melts into my skin better. Then I will apply with a brush. I use hand sanitizer before putting the foundation on my hand. You can use primer everyday…just know the understanding of what it’s used for: makeup lasting longer, and smoothing out skin tone. I only use my primer for special occasions. Some people may prefer to use it every day.

What can I do to get smooth lips? They’re not chapped but my lip stick doesn’t look smooth. Any special lip exfoliate I should use? I’ve never thought to do my lips.

Try a conditioning balm before applying the lip color to add smoothness. Make sure you are exfoliating your lips even if they don’t look or feel chapped, exfoliate anyway….you will be surprised how much dead skin STILL comes off. Always hydrate them on a regular basis. I like Burt’s Bees! I like Mary Kay’s Lip Exfoliate!!!

My skin is combination, especially in the T-zone and I have big pores. What is the best foundation for a photo finish look? I have used primers and it doesn’t seem to help.

The Primer should help. What primers have you used? Have you tried Smashbox or Makeup Forever? I know they are more expensive, but get a sample from Sephora and see if they work better.
